Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC)
Collision Counseling is hiring a full-time Agency Affiliated Counselor to support people recovering emotionally after motor-vehicle collisions and other traumatic injuries.
Schedule and location:
This is a full-time, hybrid position that is primarily telehealth. Satellite office space is available as needed in Lynnwood (6628 212th St SW), Seattle (1515 Dexter), Bellevue, and Tacoma. Candidates must reside in Washington and be able to work from an approved private location that supports confidential telehealth services.
Compensation:
$24.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.

Minimum qualifications:
- Eligible to obtain Washington State Department of Health registration as an Agency Affiliated Counselor.
- Able to satisfy required background checks and agency onboarding requirements.
- Able to apply for the AAC credential within 30 days of the qualifying employment offer, as required by Washington law.
- Strong communication, documentation, organization, and professional-boundary skills.
- Ability to protect client confidentiality and provide telehealth services from a private, reliable work environment.
A college degree and prior counseling employment are not required for AAC registration. Psychology, counseling, social work, human-services, behavioral-health, and related students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Preferred qualifications:
- Coursework or experience in psychology, counseling, social work, behavioral health, trauma recovery, healthcare, or client services.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, CBT-informed skills, or injury recovery.
- Experience serving diverse communities; bilingual ability is welcome.
- Comfortable learning electronic health-record and telehealth systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide only those counseling and support services permitted by the AAC credential and assigned under agency supervision.
- Complete timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
- Participate in supervision, training, case consultation, and quality-improvement activities.
- Coordinate appropriately with supervisors and the care team.
- Follow all privacy, safety, ethics, documentation, and professional-conduct requirements.
- Recognize role limits and promptly consult a qualified supervisor; this position does not independently diagnose clients.
Credential and agency contingencies:
Employment and clinical duties are contingent on completion of required background checks, onboarding, credentialing, and active Washington Department of Health authorization. The selected candidate may not provide unsupervised services before required clearance. Collision Counseling will not begin regulated clinical services until the agency’s applicable behavioral-health license is granted and active.
